Frans, Mart, Dre & Gerard (Netherland)
The strong tropical storm ADJALI made nights more difficult for this 2nd trip. However, our Dutch mates had a good first trip on Hawkins; from any inconvenience, there are advantages. Yann suggests them to take advantage of the low atmospheric pressure to concentrate on bill fish, trolling and baiting, along these 4 days. Result is the following: 6 strikes, 2 unhooked and 4 released:
Every angler caught his bill fish.

In May we wrote: that the fact that we catch more and more often billfish, while practicing multifishing (jigging, baiting, and trolling), states that there are marlins quite regularly around Rodrigues.
From the next season, we may offer to those interested by this big pelagic quest, one-day trips, dedicated to this aim.
Concerning marlins, the real potential of Rodrigues deserves specific fishing sessions dedicated to it, even if the numerous XXL dogtooth tunas and GiantTrevallies tend to steal the spotlight.
It is always comforting to see results the says verified.
Dorados, wahoos, yellowfin tunas, doggies, two spot red snappers, red coral trouts and other bottom fish brought their colors to this palette trip.
