The Big Game Fishing Club de France Team is composed with “El Presidente” Philippe Goichon of “Philippe Pêche”, Marc, Bruno and Louis.
This team of “warriors” comes for an exceptional 93h on the East Bank.
Despite a very good weather and a strong current (peaks of 2.6 knots), conventional trolling and heavy spinning are excellent with many yellowfin tunas (33kg the biggest) and wahoos (30kg the biggest). Surprisingly, dogtooth tunas were regularly caught trolling on the different days. And strangely enough, a grey shark was caught on a troll lure before being released.

Jigging is prolific, and brings its palette of colors with dogtooth tunas, ignobilis trevallies (the 4 of them were released, the largest was 15 kg), bluefin trevallies, lugubris trevallies, red coral trouts, red snappers, and other snappers as well as a pretty rainbow runner of 8.8 kg by Marco.

Baiting is difficult due to the strong current and a high density of sharks. However, a 35kg dogtooth tuna was made on live bonito.
In the end 22 species of fish.
The BGFCF Team has carried high the club’s colours, by their technical and human qualities in an excellent atmosphere!
